In partnership with Restless Development, YOUTH WINGS implemented the Kijana Wajibika Project during Tanzania’s constitutional review process between 2012 and 2014. The initiative aimed to promote constructive youth engagement, civic awareness, and informed participation in national dialogue around governance and constitutional reform.
Through civic education sessions, community dialogues, and youth engagement forums, the project strengthened young people’s understanding of civic rights, responsibilities, leadership, and public participation. The initiative also supported the formation of youth platforms and networks that enabled young people to contribute community perspectives and priorities within the broader constitutional review discussions in a peaceful, inclusive, and structured manner.
Through leadership development activities and awareness campaigns, the project promoted social responsibility, inclusive participation, and meaningful youth engagement in Tanzania’s national development processes.
