Our History

Youth Wings appreciates the support from the following institutions & corporations;
Who We Serve:
Our primary beneficiaries are youth aged 15-35, who have diverse needs including access to healthcare, SRH education and economic opportunities. Persons aged 0-14 years and over 35 years will also be reached as secondary beneficiaries through targeted programs.
YOUTH WINGS has over 15+ years of experience delivering high-impact programs across Tanzania, empowering youth and advancing human rights.
🔹 Health & Rights:
· EpiC Project (FHI360 – Arusha CC & Meru DC). Providing comprehensive HIV prevention, care and treatment services to all.
· UJANA Project (FHI360). Preventing new HIV infections among at-risk populations.
· SRHR & Harm Reduction. Ongoing outreach in Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro & Dar es Salaam.
🔹 Civic Engagement:
· WISE Initiative (NEPAD). Promoted youth-led good governance in Arusha schools and communities.
· Kijana Wajibika (DFID & Restless Development). Raised youth voices in constitutional reforms and elections.
🔹 Non-Communicable Diseases:
· National Diabetes Program (with TDA) Reduced diabetes-related mortality through awareness campaigns.
🔹 Youth Empowerment:
· Edutainment Group Support Trained youth groups in Arusha to educate through creative arts with support from Arusha Municipal.
· Provided health services to 200,000+ young people across Tanzania.
· Trained 5,000+ youth in entrepreneurship and vocational skills.
· Conducted 50+ advocacy campaigns to fight stigma and promote equity.
· Partner with national and international partners to scale HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
· Launched climate resilience and conservation projects benefiting both rural and urban communities.
YOUTH WINGS operates in both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar, with strong presence in:
· Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Unguja, Manyara and Tanga.
YOUTH WINGS works with a broad network of partners, including:
· Government Agencies: Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).
· NGOs and CSOs: FHI360, DCEA, WISE, TAWREF, UNAIDS, National and Grassroots Organizations.
· Development Partners: PEPFAR, USAID, Global Fund, bilateral and multilateral donors.
· Private Sector: Supporting youth employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
· Reach 500,000 youth through healthcare and economic programs.
· Train 10,000 youth in vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
· Scale child protection initiatives to 10 regions.
· Expand climate action initiatives led by youth.
· Partnered to Reduce HIV prevalence among youth in line with national and global goals.
· Youth-Led, Youth-Focused: Programs are designed and implemented by youth.
