Youth Wings is a youth led independent local NGO run and managed by dynamic youth of Tanzania with the aim of improving the well-being and lives of youths and young people in Tanzania mainland.

Mission Statement

To advocates for improvement of health services, economic opportunities and equity social wellbeing of Tanzanian youths who are vulnerable to contact HIV.

Vision Statement

Working towards a healthy Tanzania free of new HIV, TB and other infections among young people and vulnerable groups.

Goal

Enabling a meaningful engagement of young people in Tanzania’s HIV and TB response.

In the improving the wellbeing and lives of youth in Tanzania mainland, Youth Wings objectives are as follows;

Youth actively participate in the prevention of HIV and TB

Youth actively participate in HIV and TB treatment literacy

Youth establish income generating activities which are sustainable and friendly to environment.

Youth participate in various positions of leadership in their communities.

Our History

Youth Wings is a Youth led CSO based in Arusha with an undisputable track record of implementing, Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (SRH), Human Rights, HIV & AIDS, Harm Reduction, Economic Empowerment, Civic Engagement for Youth, Key and Vulnerable Population (KVP) interventions in the Arusha region.

Over the past ten (10) years, Youth Wings was engaged under the FHI 360 UJANA project, and has received support from NEPAD Project via Women in Social Entrepreneurship (WISE) to promote civic engagement in fostering good governance among young people in and out of school in Arusha Region.
